• Richard Gerstle served as instructor for a ten-week course on Air Pollution Measurement and Control at the University of Cincinnati's Raymond Walters Branch. Dick has also fulfilled all requirements and completed a comprehensive written exam to qualify as a Certified Facilities Environmental Professional (CFEP) as sponsored by the Association for Facilities Engineering.
  • At the 71st Annual Meeting of the Ohio Water Environment Association, Paul Koch presented a paper entitled "Integrated Wastewater and Oil/Water Separator Systems, A Tool for Wastewater Management."
  • "Sensitivity of the Industrial Source Complex Model to Input Parameters," an article by Donna B. Schwede and James O. Paumier, appeared in the Journal of Applied Meteorology.
  • Dave Wohlscheid presented a paper entitled "Outsourcing Your VE Program" to the AASHTO Value Engineering Seminar held at Atlantic City, New Jersey.
  • Papers by PES staff members presented at the AWMA-EPA conference on Emissions Inventories include: "Changing the Method of Source Classification" by George Woodall, Ph.D., Dave Holoman, and Ron Ryan; and "Updates to the FIRE Software and Database" by Dr. Woodall and Dave Holoman.
  • At the Engineering Foundation's 22nd Conference on Stationary Source Sampling & Analysis held in Palm Coast, Florida, John Chehaske presented "Enhanced Pretest Surveys."
  • "Integrated Wastewater and Oil Water Separator Engineering Analyses, Management Plans, and Computer-Based Management System, " a paper by PES' Paul Koch, Jeff Van Atten, and Jim Montgomery, and Gary Nault of the USAF Air Combat Command and Robert Abernethy of the USAFHSC Water Quality Research, has been accepted as an alternate presentation at the Annual Conference of the Water Environment Federation in Orlando, Florida.
  • Among papers selected for presentation at the 3rd Annual Joint Service P2 Conference and Exhibition in San Antonio, Texas, are: "Pollution Prevention Initiatives & Good Management Practices Pretreatment Costs, " by Paul Koch; "Making Pollution Prevention the Air Mobility Command Compliance Strategy, " by Eric Saylor; and "An Air Force Decision Matrix for Selecting Alternatives for Methylene Chloride Paint Strippers, " by George Wahl.
  • At the American Electroplaters and Surface Finishers Society/EPA Conference for Environmental Excellence held at Disneyland's Coronado Springs Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Florida,  Dean High presented "Update on Chromium & Nickel Regulations in California" and "Inputes for Public Health Risk Assessments from Metal Finishing."
  • Paul Koch served as a guest lecturer at the University of Illinois, College of Engineering. The topic of Paul's presentation was: "Executives in the Technological World - Teaming and Today's Engineer."
